Fuel Additives

Do fuel additives work? It depends on what additives you're talking about.

Do fuel additives work? It depends on what additives you're talking about. Some are nothing more than kerosene or even methyl alcohol. In sufficient quantities, methyl alcohol can do serious damage to your engine, so be careful. There are additives that actually do clean valves and injectors when used as directed, however. They can even improve fuel consumption. According to my industry sources, the actual fuel consumption improvement in a new engine isn't likely to exceed 1.5 percent. But if you have an engine with significant carbon buildup on exhaust valves and injectors, your fuel efficiency could be radically improved by consistent use of additives. They should even result in less smoke and better performance over time.

Have been using Valtech in my 9) Etech for over 150 hrs with no,I repeat, no problems. The few dollars per tank is well worth it.

STA-BIL........ Use it!! It worked in my boat. It works in my motorcycle. It works in my Porsche. Particularly useful for any fuel system when the engine may not be run on a daily or weekly basis. Absolutely necessary for to prevent "crudding" in fuel lines and filters. I believe it is available for in formulations for gas, diesel and ethanol fuels. Happy motoring.
