The first Cruisers U at Baltimore's Inner Harbor, co-sponsored by Motor Boating and Cruising World, was a big success. Some 200-plus people signed up for great classes (most given by the Annapolis School of Seamanship) on navigation, cruising, weather, diesel engines, etc., good panels (featuring Bernadette Bernon and Mark Pillsbury from Cruising World and Peter Janssen from Motor Boating), and a mini-boat show of new boat on the docks.
