Electrical Tape — Get the Good Stuff
Expensive tape handles most repairs without leaving the mess of cheap glue behind when removed.

Why pay $4 per roll for electrical tape when that same money buys five rolls of inexpensive electrical tape at the home store? That inexpensive electrical tape does the job, but it leaves a sticky mess of cheap glue behind when removed. The expensive tape doesn’t — I use white for most repairs, but any color, including black, is fine.
